This Car

This car was registered in May 2001 and has provided almost faultless, reliable service since then.  It was very carefully run in with the manufacturers recommendations followed to the letter and then some.  It was my main car while I was covering a large part of the UK, so of course many of the miles are 6th gear motorway cruises which will have had minimal effect on the car.  In any case, Toyotas are famed for longevity and reliability, and if you wish you can extend the manufacturer's warranty at a reasonable price so this is a car that you can trust for many years to come.

It's a genuine 'UK' car - purchased new by me from Arriva Toyota Wakefield (fine establishment).

Full Toyota service history and manufacturer's warranty extended to May 2005.  This includes membership of club Toyota and the associated breakdown cover for what it's worth (we've had this car for 3 and a bit years and another Toyota for 7 and a bit years and have never once called on the breakdown cover - nice to know it's there though, just in case!)

Taxed until November 2004.  MOT tested until May 2005.  (it required no work to get it through its test in May 2004)

The car has four Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres which are in good condition + spare in good condition (unused?) I think. (mail me if you need further info).

The car drives beautifully with no squeaks or rattles, as it has from the day it was delivered.  If you've never driven a Celica 190 before you'll be impressed by the way it offers such precise handling, and yet still has a very comfortable ride.  And the engine is extremely sweet having been designed to perform according to the way you drive it.  Below 5,500 rpm it's a fairly powerful, but extremely smooth unit, just like the one in the MR2 or the regular Celica.  But above that limit it suddenly takes on a new life as the high lift cams take over.  In regular mode the car's extremely fuel efficient for such a powerful motor, and the extra power is so rarely used that it doesn't detract from the figures to much.  Thanks to these characteristics, the Celica 190 is almost two cars in one - it's an economical and comfortable three door hatch, and it's a sports coupe with lots of power and great handling.  In either mode it's practical and reliable.  If you wanted an MR2, but actually need something more practical, then this is the car for you.

The car has been carefully looked after an cleaned regularly with top end cleaning products.  This car is not just transport to me - I'm a Celica enthusiast - as you can see from my website at www.celicas.co.uk

Note - the vehicle currently has a private plate T600.NET - this is not included in the auction.
I understand that DVLA will issue a new Y reg plate for the vehicle, unless the buyer has a private plate of their own that
they wish to transfer, or wishes to purchase a plate of their own choice from DVLA.  If purchaser is happy to take a DVLA assigned number
I will arrange for that to take place and will have the new plates to made up and fitted.
